The annual Human Resources Excellence Awards (HREA) is one of Malaysia’s most prestigious HR awards, which is why we are absolutely proud to announce Wellous’ recognition as a finalist in this 12th edition.
Described as “a remarkable platform”, the HREA is dedicated to celebrating and acknowledging exceptional accomplishments and innovations within the dynamic landscape of human resources management in Malaysia, according to its official website. Previous winners include Maybank, Petronas, Sunway Group, Telekom Malaysia, Unilever Malaysia and HSBC.
This marks the first time that Wellous is nominated for an HREA. And quite aptly, out of the 41 categories for contention in 2024, we made the shortlist for the Excellence in Corporate Wellness award, where we find ourselves in the company of sports giant Puma, insurance juggernaut AIA and even tobacco titans Philip Morris. As a wellness and functional food brand, the nomination for Excellence in Corporate Wellness naturally means a lot to us.
Regardless of the result, we will proudly view the nomination as a testament to our efforts in walking the talk as a brand committed to making health easier for everyone – including our own employees. After all, initiatives such as the Wellness Room for resting and breastfeeding, the employee daybed, dedicated allowances for sporting activities, free weekly fruit supply, weekly sports activities, and unlimited health supplement products for employees to enjoy at the pantries are implemented purely for the wellbeing of our employees, not for the sake of recognition.
That being said, we would of course be immensely proud and honoured to win.
