When is the best time to exercise? Checkout the PROS and CONS!

Some said that exercising in the morning is good for our body, but some prefer exercising after work, and surprisingly, there are people who love working out in the afternoon. So, when is actually the best time to exercise? Let’s check out the pros and cons for exercising in the morning, afternoon and evening! 



In the morning

PROS

Exercising in the morning can help to restore the energy and leave you feeling energetic for the rest of the day. Moreover, the air in the morning is fresher and the gym centres are less crowded in the morning! Research shown that the testosterone level is at its highest in the morning, therefore, it will be helpful for strength training.

CONS

Our joints and muscles are tight and stiff early in the morning, an extensive warm-up is necessary to get our body ready for the exercise or workout. 


In the afternoon

PROS

It is the time when our brain and body are wide awake and more ready for a workout, and we can also spend the free time in the afternoon to exercise with friends and colleagues, it can be a great bonding session. 

CONS

Afternoon is the hottest time of all day, exercise at this time might be not so enjoyable. Also, free time in the afternoon is somehow limited, and it will also affect your lunchtime.


In the evening

PROS

This is indeed that most favourable time for people to exercise. We tend to have a greater mood after settling all the tasks on hand for the day.

CONS

We are mostly physically and mentally exhausted after a whole long day of work, making it extra tired while exercising. Also, exercise in the evening can affect the sleeping quality at night, it is suggested to complete your workout at least 2 hours before bed.  


As you can see, there are pros and cons for every different workout time, there is no such thing as the perfect time for human body to work out, but it is highly depending on which time suits you and your body the most. Choose the most ideal time for yourself based on your daily routine and diet!
